St. Joseph’s Pre-University College located in Bangalore, India is managed by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), a Catholic religious order founded by St. Ignatius Loyola. The members of the society of Jesus run educational institutions all over the world. St. Joseph's Pre- University College, Bangalore, is managed by the Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society (BJES). One of the mission objectives was the education of youth around the world with the motto "For the Greater Glory of God". St. Joseph's College was started by French Foreign Missionary Fathers in 1882 with a goal to impart higher education.
